GMG Introduces New Proof Media NewsProof 76 for Newspapers
GMG

GMG, developer and supplier of high-end color management and proofing solutions, announces today the launch of GMG NewsProof 76, a 76 gsm coated inkjet proof media, having the white point of typical newspapers and a matte coating, for the production of high quality contract proofs. GMG NewsProof 76 corresponds to standard newsprint so the user gets the visual impression of a newspaper.

With the introduction of GMG NewsProof 76, repro and prepress houses as well as ad agencies and printing companies involved in newspaper production, get a top quality media which significantly exceeds other papers presently available on the market in terms of the quality of the print results and product properties.

The main characteristics of the new GMG NewsProof 76 at a glance:
* The weight of 76 gsm is similar to many current newspaper media.
* The white point of the paper has been defined in such a way that typical newsprints can be simulated by a proof. The corresponding tolerances are tighter compared to those of other current newspaper proofing media, improving the reliability of proofing results and the color consistency.
* GMG NewsProof 76 can be used in conjunction with both matte black and photo black inks, rendering time and cost intensive ink changes unnecessary.
* A special feature of GMG NewsProof 76 is that the paper has an extreme high ink limit and does not warp. The high ink tolerance means there is less overinking and matting effects, and there is less bleeding and fading of inks as well. GMG NewsProof 76 shows a more homogeneous surface and print result than other newspaper proofing papers.
